Curriculum
North Heights Christian Preschool has developed its own unique curriculum consisting of age-appropriate academics and social skills which are all interwoven with biblical values.
Three-year-old children will learn how to:

Help clean or tidy a space

Cooperate in large group and individual activities

Make connections and recognize similarities in shape or color

Work on recognizing upper and lower-case letters and letter sounds

Demonstrate comprehension skills and answer questions about a book after its read

Identify shapes and

Count objects up to 10

Use scissors and other tools that require safe handling

Recognize the letters in his/her name

Manage bathroom needs with minimal assistance

Show creativity and imagination in play and work
Four-year-old children will learn how to:

Identify upper and lower-case letters of the alphabet

Grip a pencil, crayon or marker correctly (with the thumb and forefinger supporting the tip)

Write first and last name using upper and lower case letters if possible

Count to 30

Bounce a ball

Classify objects according to size, shape and quantity

Recognize some common sight words, like “stop”

Identify rhyming words
-
Incorporate crafting with learning: Use scissors, glue, paint and other art materials with relative ease

Repeat full name, address, phone number and birthday

Play independently or focus on one activity with a friend up to 10 times

Manage bathroom needs

Half-Day Preschool
- Two or three half days for 4 and 5-year-olds
- Must be 4 by September 1 of the enrollment year
- Two half days for 3-year-olds
- Must be 3 by September 1 of the enrollment year
- Hours: 8:45am-11:45am
- September through May
Full-Day Preschool
- Full days only (2 to 5 days/week)
- Hours: 7am–6pm
- Children ages 33 months–age 5
- Price includes breakfast, full lunch & afternoon snack
- 12 month or 9 month plan
